The Henry Stambaugh Municipal Golf Course is now open for the season.

Nominate Youngstown to win $20k during "Meet Me at the Park" Grant

(March 29, 2017) - The National Recreation and Park Association is collaborating with corporate sponsors to revitalize parks across the country by sponsoring the "Meet Me at the Park" grant. The city that receives the most nominations between April 1st and April 30th will receive $20k toward improving a local park. Nominate Youngstown at NRPA.org/BeInspired and you will be entered into a drawing for a tablet.

(January 18, 2017) - Green Youngstown is now located within Community Planning and Economic Development, at 20 W. Federal Place, Suite 602.

Company Announces Plans for $20 Million Beverage and Technology Complex

(October 16, 2016) - Joseph Company International has announced the company’s plans to invest $20 million to build a beverage and technology complex in Youngtown, Ohio that will produce the world’s first and only self-chilling beverage can. The project is estimated to create 257 new jobs for the city as well as provide a destination of interest, as the technology will be showcased globally. Complete Press Release

Mayor's Weekly Spotlight

Advancing Education Reducing Crime Day

The Youngstown City Schools and the City of Youngstown are declaring Saturday, April 22nd as Advancing Education Reducing Crime Day. Free Entertaining and informational events will take place from 9AM to 6PM at hub site schools around the City: Harding Elementary, Taft Elementary, MLK Elementary, and McGuffey Elementary. Activities will include a read-in, pop-up library, give aways, essay contests, free haircuts, YPD K-9 demos, local celebrities and entertainment, the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence, and an anti-crime march at dusk.
