Youngstown Litter Control & Recycling, a division of Public Works, is responsible for administering litter prevention and recycling programs within the City of Youngstown. Through the financial support of the City of Youngstown and the Mahoning County Solid Waste District Green Team, Litter Control & Recycling is dedicated to the improvement and beautification of the City of Youngstown.
Here are some of the programs and services we offer:
- Residential curbside and drop-off site recycling
- Personalized business recycling
- Neighborhood litter control and illegal dumping enforcement
- City-wide litter cleanup days, and support for any neighborhood cleanups throughout the year
- Educational programs for children (preschool-12th grade) and adults
- Special recycling drives throughout the year for electronics, appliances, household hazardous waste, autumn leaves, Christmas trees, etc
